My weight has been up and down all week, no apparent reason. Yesterday it was 186.2, today it's 185.2. I hold steady on the course, let it do what it will, and know it will all work out eventually.

Today, my daughter has chosen Smashburger as our lunch site after her ball game. I do not even want to know how many calories are in their smash sauce. They have sweet potato fries...but they are tossed in olive oil. Actually thinking their french fries might be less calories, as they aren't tossed around in more oil after frying. Their chicken sandwich probably isn't a really bad choice, and they do have a wheat bun option. Still, I think lunch will be around 800 calories, and will probably put me around 1700 for the day. That's not terrible, but it's a couple hundred over my daily goal. Will see how it goes...and keep suggesting alternative lunch destinations to her, see if she bites on any of them. lol

Back at 186! All the weekends sodium gone. :) I'm only 1 1/2 lbs from my low...it's in sight.

Spent a lot of time yesterday working on my menu for the coming week, but want to find at least one new recipe to try out next week so might need to revamp it. Bought a book called "Down Home Cooking For Diabetics" that has a few really good sounding recipes in it. One for a chicken soup. I need a good soup recipe, as all I usually make is chili. Might try that out this weekend, maybe serve it with a grilled cheese (using Parkay spray instead of actual margarine, to cut down the calories).

Well, time to hit the elliptical, ready or not. I'm still consistently doing 30 minutes, 4 times per week. Debated increasing the time, but this still seems to be benefitting me...I do increase the resistance a little every once in a while. I'm also starting some situp and pushup work...have to stick to wall push ups right now because my bad shoulder won't let me do proper ones, but I can still feel my arms building strength. One step at a time...
