So 3 weeks and I'm down 1 lb. I haven't been really paying attention to tracking. We have been busy going here and there with more eating out than usual. School starts back soon and everyone will get back to their normal routine. I hope to do a little better but I'm still happy with my progress.

Happy 4th of July!!! I had a great week. Average calories for the week stayed the same but I walked over 10K steps every day and went to the gym 3x. We're having a cookout today and I prepped everything yesterday so just going to get the pool floats out and set out a basket of towels. Got a cute swimsuit coverup and I'm ready for the day!

A small loss this week, just happy to still be going in the right direction. You never think about how much entertaining friends involve food. I'm certainly learning healthier alternatives to our typical cookout fare without compromising taste. Of course portion control is key! Oh, and I went to the gym this morning! Yay me!

It was hot, hot, hot this week with a heat index of 115° No outdoor walking for me! I did jump in the pool a couple of days and do a few lazy laps. Mostly just floated around and worked on my tan haha. I stayed within my calorie range all week though and I'm happy to see a loss :) Salads have tasted really refreshing in all this heat.

Three months in and 20 lbs. down. I'm definitely fine with that. I'm not doing anything fancy, just counting calories. I try to make healthy choices and eat things that keep me full. I don't restrict any foods though because then I crave them like crazy. Funny thing is I eat way less and feel more satisfied with smaller amounts when I go ahead and allow myself to eat whatever I want. I'm weighing and measuring EVERYTHING. The only exception is when we've been away and then I make my best estimate. I don't see any major differences in my appearance but none of my clothes are tight anymore! I probably should have done measurements but... Anyway, this feels like something I can do for the long haul. I have a long way to go but I'm not in a hurry. :)
