Yesterday I ate more than I intended, just because it was Sunday and I wanted to munch on something laying in bed and reading a book.
I am prone to those eating frenzies when I am reading something interesting. It is just enjoyable, that's all. A bag of chips, a good book, some piece-and-quiet - it is my heaven. No, I did not eat chips...just dreaming...lol
Today I am back to intermittent fasting, even thinking about 24h fasting period, but we will see. Today it was just situational because I spent all morning doing my hair - just turning myself from the 50+ old hag to somewhat decent looking female...LOL...
With this COVID thingie, we are so limited in traveling and it is so sad. I am a true culinary tourist - I can easily give up on any dieting when I go to someplace where the food is good (Barcelona, for example).
So today I made a batch of "culinary destination" soup - so good! Well, it is not exactly original, as I did not have all ingredients required, but I tried to substitute with local products. It turned out very close to the taste I remember. Or so I thought...lol...
The weight loss progress is good, I lost about 6lbs in 7 days, so I am satisfied.

It was cold this morning and instead of going for a walk, I put on my favorite sweater and got lazy. Spent all morning finishing my embroidery project, listening to "goodbye Spanish Ladies" and singing along..."we'll rant and we'll raw...la-la-la-la"...lol
Ate my "lunch set" with freshly made sesame crackers...Have a good weekend, everyone!

5th Day of my Keto program.
Lost 1lbs overnight. I would say it is the last "easy pound", the remaining weight will be stubborn as hell! That is when the true weight loss begins. The best scenario - 3-4 ounces per day. Maybe by summer, I will be at my desired point.
I took my body composition reading this morning. It's okay if I want to leave it like that (I mean the picture...lol).
Fat - 24.6
TDW -55.0
Muscle - 29.9
Bone - 2.1
Waist - 31 inches...THAT does not sound like much, but look at that fat roll! As my husband said: "My God, babie, did you eat a tire???"...lol
PS. Made a bunch of cauliflower fritters last night. I guess it is my food for the next few days, as nobody else was too excited about it...(signs)... but looking at myself, I better eat those! LOL

Did you ever wonder why most of the dishes' photos look like some pig feed? At least mine does unless I use the "food item" filter on my phone :-)
That center weird looking blob of yellow is the egg! Maybe I overcooked it in the microwave because it is kind of yellow-gray. Supposed to be yummy, but I hate spinach and the egg was like rubber, even the sashimi was not able to save it! On the positive side, it is all super healthy and all, balanced almost to perfection: 2.34 of Net Carbs, 27.61 Fat, 17.15 Protein.
Anyway, I am following my diet and shed off almost 2 lbs, mostly water.

Day 2.
Today I decided to continue 6/18 intermittent fasting, although I did not plan it. Last night I felt the familiar headache that usually indicates that my body switching into ketosis.
For those that practice Keto for a long time, it is pretty common to be able to pick that exact moment when our internal power plant finally gives up on carbs as fuel and picks up on fat.
For me, it is always few hours of "did I get flu or something?" symptoms. Every time it happens I am truly amazed at how our body works. Our autonomic nervous system (ANS) can communicate with our concsiousness, we just need to learn how to read these signals.
The "flu" symptoms were gone after my evening meditation and I was able to sleep like a baby.
I remember, when I first started Keto, I used to suffer from severe insomnia. For a long time is was not unusual for me to wake up at 2 am and lay wide awake in a dark.
It was extremely uncomfortable and finally was giving up and moving to the spare bedroom to read till about 5 am. After that, I was usually able to sleep for another hour.
My first week of ketosis cured it somewhat magically. On the third or fourth day, I slept through the night and I do since then.
In those times when I am back on carbs, insomnia comes back in 2-3 months, and that is the time for me to go back on keto or "borderline low carb diet".
