Up again, 197.2. I think my body is just going crazy because I've been dealing with a cold or really bad allergies this week. It's causing reactions...sleep disturbances, meds likely causing some dehydration, etc. I leave today for a weekend trip with my daughter, so eating isn't going to be optimal either. I'm mentally preparing myself already for showing a gain when I weigh in on Monday morning. lol I do what I can do, the rest is up to nature...I keep on course and it will all correct itself eventually.
I got through my workout again this morning, but this congestion isn't making it easy. The rest of my morning is going to be spent packing and prepping. I did pick up some individual packets of apples and grapes to take along with me so that I can have actual fruit for snacks.

196.8 today, slowly going back down after my temporary spike. Those temporary spikes are to be expected, and don't normally bother me...the timing on this one was annoying though because I'm traveling this weekend and will be eating out a lot. I'm being a slave to my "official weigh in", which will be the day after I return from my trip. I have to work on that...concentrate on the being healthy part, and let the weight loss just happen as a side effect of the overall process, not letting it become my focus.
Feeling a little better today, although congestion is lingering. I'm about to get my workout done and then get shopping done for my trip. For dinner, I think I'm going to pick up some chicken and bell peppers to make a little stir fry of some sort. I've had a hard time creating my menus this week, usually it's easy for me to fill in my meal plan but I keep drawing a blank lately....think I need to search for some new recipes to keep it interesting.

Ugh, weight is up to 197.2 (no idea why) and I'm sick. Okay, maybe the 'sick' part has something to do with the weight being up. Not sure. Had less than 1400 calories yesterday.
Luckily today was my scheduled 'off day' for working out, so I'm going to just lie on the sofa and watch a little tv this morning, see how I'm feeling a little later in the day. I am thankful that I planned an easy dinner for tonight...some chicken cooked in the crockpot all day in mushroom soup, brown rice, and vegetables.

196.6 today! Tackling the weight a couple of ounces at a time. lol At least I'm moving in the right direction, that's all I care about. The power outage yesterday likely helped with the weight...wasn't much I could do. I had prepared a meal just before the lights went out, so ate from that and no extras or snacks.
Blood sugar level was very close to normal this morning. My best reading yet. Starting the day off well...now if I can just get all the tasks done that lay ahead of me this morning. lol

196.8 today! My Chinese buffet wasn't detrimental to my efforts at all. I tried to be good. I allowed myself to indulge in some favorites, but kept portions small on those items. Should be smooth sailing in the diet department until the weekend when I have to take my daughter on a weekend trip for a ball game she's participating in. Lots of eating out ahead of us for the weekend.
Fasting blood sugar was the highest yet this morning. Still in the prediabetes range, but it was very close to being past it this morning. I didn't work out on the weekend...wondering if there is correlation between my not working out those days and my higher fasting sugar readings. Last night my reading after my snack was fine. In fact, I know I've said this before but all my readings during the day before and after meals are in the normal range except that first morning "fasting" reading. I have lost probably 13 lbs since the day the doctor told me about my prediabetes and set me back on a healthier path of eating and exercise. I'm curious to see if the morning readings will improve as my weight goes down. I still carry most of my fat in my midsection, and have to find a way to impact that.
Today I have house cleaning to do, and should be home most of the day, save for a short trip to the market this morning. Oatmeal w/apple and cinnamon for breakfast, sandwich and fruit for lunch, tilapia and sweet potato for dinner.
