After a good, sober night's sleep, I awoke yesterday at five, felt OK until I ate a breakfast of organic eggs and sauerkraut, when I became groggy. By noon, I was dozing off. I ate a big salad with roasted chicken for lunch and went down for a nap at one. Up at two, I was in a fog from then on. In the evening, I tried to force myself to eat a steak, but the emotional reaction to eating a dead steer was too much. I drank to feel better and then ate salad with tofu.

My Paleo days seem to be over. Other people have energy and live well without eating flesh. Is there a way for me? I am really struggling with this grogginess. I put in some hard work every morning but then accomplish almost nothing in the afternoon. My weight is out of control. My belly feels heavy and hurts most days. At the gym, I haven't enough energy to exercise other than gently on a bike.

I'm going to try not eating much during the day, since any food makes me sleepy. I'm also going to stop trying to force myself to eat Paleo. It worked before, but my feelings about animals have since changed, and I don't feel right when I eat meat.

This whole issue is ridiculous. Or maybe it's not. But it is really so fundamental that I have to resolve it before I can deal with anything else.
