Over the past few weeks I have not been pushing to move up weights in my work outs. My main reason for this is that I feel like my core needs to catch up, especially on core heavy exercises like squats and deadlifts. My upper back has not been feeling "normal" (always sore!) since my "shoulder" injury some weeks ago which really started this whole push for me to slow it down.
This past week I have felt like my core is finally beginning to catch up with where I am in my weight progression. I will likely continue this way for all of July while we are traveling.
The past few weeks I have also continued to slowly gain weight without tracking my calories. I began to input into FS again and noticed my usual daily intake has been between 1600-2000... This past week I was approaching 144lbs.
I really don't want to gain weight right now so I am pushing myself to log more and keep my intake between 1400-1600. I have lost the extra weight quickly and am back down around 142 again which I am fine with maintaining here as long as I'm still gaining muscle 🤞. I do want to cut but I am still afraid because I don't want to lose the muscle I have gained. I feel like my muscle gains have been ESSENTIAL because of how low my muscle mass was when I started all of this. I wish I could know for certain the BEST thing to do. For now I do know that I am doing better than I have been before and I feel total 💯 confidence in that statement. Tomorrow I do my weekly weigh in on my body comp scale.

Thanks OTB. I am new so if that's right then I should be okay to cut and still gain muscle. It's going to be hard while traveling but I think I will keep my calories to a minimum over the summer then and see what happens.
