Down another half pound. Didn't go to the gym. Did manage to get in a 3/4 mile walk yesterday. I'm seeing results, which is very good. I'm in a lot better condition than I was at the beginning of the year.
Today begins the formal grind. I'm about as ready as I can be.
My weight today (196.8) reminds me of the year 1968. Back then I was a chubby child. I weighed 130 pounds at age 12. I was 4' 8". At 13, in 1969, after a year of living on a farm in the tropics, I was 4' 11" and weighed 96 lbs.

Oh, no, not starting a new job. What I mean is that I start teaching today. I'm department chair, which means I'm on the job year round. But today is the first day of classes, which means that today, I appear in the classroom for the beginning of the academic year. You'll see that signalled in my exercise calendar as 'standing' makes a reappearance.

LOL! OH! So, what dept do you chair? I am guessing this is at a college? or is it at a private High School? ... Will be watching for the increased activity for sure!!! :)

Wow you are doing great. Good job! When I read your journal it took me back to that time and I was the same height and age in 1969 and I weighed 69 pounds. lol

LOL good ol' Poli Sci. Wasn't one of my better subjects in college, but I suspect that was due to the teacher...he wasn't very engaging. LOL You are doing fabulous, keep it up. Hope you have a wonderful school year!
