HELP!!! I am out of control with SWEETS!Four added lbs. are only the beginning to a down spiral...I don't want to go there. I have lost all will power to sweets...What is wrong? I'm not making excuses, just at a loss as to what is happening and how to fix it.

Go check out a book on amazon called "Becks Diet Solution". It's not a diet book, but helps you slowly change the way your think about food and your behaviors. Sugar raises your serotonin levels which makes you feel good, so you want to keep eating more. But over time, sugar actually depletes the levels, so you want more and more. You may be someone who is very sensitive. You need to find the motivation to change your diet. I find when I eat healthy, I want healthy foods. When I eat like crap, I keep eating crap, till I break the cycle. Do some googling. The only way to fix it is to be proactive and take control.

Exercise helps get those good feelings going like sugar but better for you. Next time you want to grab a goodie go for a walk.

Sugar is addictive, gives you a sugar high then you crash, just makes you crave it more and feel hungry. I'd suggest you substitute something else like fruit for a sweet craving and don't eat the sugar/sweets. Once you get out of the cycle of it you'll feel better and it won't be so hard, but you just have to buckle down and do it. And you can!

Get them in the garbage can and out of the house ASAP! You will feel relieved at having the temptation gone and out of reach.

If you like banana's, cut them in little round slices and freeze them - they are very satisfying if you want a sweet treat.
