A story.
I could hear them moving in the dark. They were more than one - more than five. All I wanted was peace but my enemies wouldn't have it. They wanted my blood. I sat and turned on the lantern and there they were exposed to my glare. The fools moved toward me as though I was no threat and tried their best to take my blood. I came unchained. As each approached they died in the light of my lantern, beaten down and crushed by the strength of my hand. I laughed as I saw the dead bodies lying around me in a mixture of my blood and their broken carcasses. I put my head back on my pillow. Stupid bugs!
~ Unsure of the weight jump. Controlled myself very well during the camping trip... mostly.

Nice story. Feels good to kill those buggers before they fly off at least. Now, you could have let them suck about .6 lbs of blood first. :)

Funny story with a great opening! Had to cringe though through the second to last sentence - not nice lol. Would it be OK if I show this to my Grade Tens in September? Would be fun to have them write a creative narrative about their summer.;-)

I have no problem with you using it. I love words. If you can use it to the benefit of kids (I know. They'd hate me for calling them kids), go for it. You can have them find the run-on sentence as well if you like.
