During this season of Lent I have been fasting on Fridays--not completely but a significant deficit from what I normally eat. I swear that I then overeat on the weekend almost without realizing it. I think this is why so much research literature indicates that deprivation can really backfire apparently when it's not even for weight loss. Sigh...
