During the first few days on Paleo, I lost four pounds, so that would have been water. Weight has been steady 204, since. I also find that when I load up on animal protein, I don't have much energy. In fact, I need a nap after lunch if I eat meat, fowl or fish on a green salad. On the other hand, if I have a green salad with nuts instead of flesh, I feel pretty good. Even better, if I eat mostly fruit, I feel much better. At least my joints have improved since cutting out the legumes and grains, but at least for the summer months, I want to try living mostly on raw fruit, nuts and veggies. Maybe I can get my weight into a normal range and eliminate or reduce more of the inflammation.

It's ironic that the raw vegans and paleo people see each other as being at odds, when their main difference is over whether or not to eat animal products. What they agree on is avoiding grains and beans, at least cooked non-sprouted beans.

For now, I'm going with the raw vegan approach but leaving myself open to eating some flesh or eggs if I crave them or start feeling weak.

Not quite following you in your reference points but I am curious about these meal plans. The terms "flesh" and "eggs' give me pause to think! Just stopped by for some interesting reading & for a hello!
