I am down at least 1/4 pound this morning. It could be 1/2 pound. The significance of this slight amount is meaningful to me. I dropped below 195. Not so long ago I doubted I could drop below 200. The 226 mark seemed like forever--up and down, and all around. That was a weight I had before the steroids for severe inflammation. Then, the medications cause a drastic weight gain which the doctor assured me was only water-weight. I don't agree--at least not in a sense, they see things. The medication changed my body chemistry--I am not the only person who would attest to this situation. Once I dropped back to the 226 (which was no small thing) my body wanted to hang out at that old familiar weight. Oh yeah! Not what I wanted at all.
Dropping below 200 was monumental. Being below the 195 weight is phenomenal. Well, I am still obese. Regardless, I wear normal-sized clothing. I finally was able to clear out my closet and donate all my clothing to someone else. I purchased a few things that fit--nothing spectacular. This stage is just an interim event. I am now hoping to see the scale below 190 --even lower in the next couple of months. My birthday is in August. Maybe I will have something special to celebrate beyond the gift of life.
