Lost only 4 tenths of a pound this week. And I haven't lost much over the past 4 weeks. I'm really not eating a lot. Had a piece of pizza last night but that's the only thing. I have even been skipping breakfast.
This is when I get discouraged. Every diet I go on allows me to lose 10 to 15 lbs. and then it stops. I can't believe that I have to eat like this to maintain 189 lbs. I am so encouraged if I get that reward at the scale of at least one pound weight loss. No one has even noticed my weight loss. I can eat what I want and enjoy life at 15 lbs heavier. The holidays are coming up. They are always difficult time for me. I get too busy to plan my meals and my diet goes to pot.
I am tiring of this diet. I want rice or potato with my supper. I want pizza once in a while. I want a nice plate of spaghetti or ravioli and meat balls. I want to to the Thai restaurant and have some Pad Thai and Crispy chicken, I want to go to the Chinese restaurant and pig out. I want some mac and cheese. I'm sick of planning unexciting meals for myself that don't actually fill me.
I guess I'm down today. But I won't give up yet. This week is thanksgiving. I will stick to my diet but on thanksgiving day I will eat my meal and allow myself one piece of apple pie and I hope that will be the end of my Thanksgiving eating spree. I'm hoping that my body owes me a weight loss that it is just not letting go of and I will get that reward at the scale next week.

Had to bake for the Quilt guild meeting. Lots left over and couldn't resist. I baked these delicious cranberry shortbread cookies. I finally through out what was left. I also can't purchase wheat thins anymore. This is the second time that I finished a box in two days. Once I started, I couldn't stop. Went out to dinner with my Irish Dancing group and had Fried Scallops. It is my favorite and I couldn't resist ordering as I hadn't had them for a long time. So, not much weight loss this week.
Thanksgiving is coming and I'm trying to think of it as one meal and not a week of eating. The scale is still going down, however slowly. I haven't been exercising either. I am really slipping. Next week I have to try to incorporate exercise in my schedule, try drinking the water again before meals and restricting my meat intake at the dinner meal to 4 to 5 oz and at lunch to 3 oz. Hopefully that will get me back on track.

Have been real busy this week. Took a three day class that took up all of my time. I had to bring lunch so was able to prepare acceptable lunch. Had no time for exercise and prepared quick dinners, but they still fit into my diet. I have really slacked off on the exercise. I'm going to try starting today to do a minimum of 1/2 hour per day. I was walking 3 miles a day but got busy finishing up some quilting projects. I'd like to try doing an aerobic tape in the morning and in the afternoon, sometime before preparing dinner, a half hour tape of upper or lower body, or stretching yoga or pilates with a good exercise that strengthens my core. I'm having trouble with lower back pain and that would help. I'm going to see my doctor next week for a regular check-up. She'll be in shock. This is the lowest I've weighted in a long time.

I weighed in last week on Oct. 29 but for some reason it does not show.
I went away last week and ate out for three days. Needless to say I didn't do well. If I were not trying to lose weight, I wouldn't call it a pig out, but I ate more carbs and actually had one desert and my three day spree caused me to gain weight. I'm on the way down again but think It's going to go slow from now on. I'm not exercising as much as I did previously and I have to get back into that mode.
