I admit I delayed weigh-in from last night till this morning to allow for some of the monthly water weight to go down. When I entered my numbers last week I anticipated a huge psychological boost when I got to put in a lower digit in the tens slot for the first time on this journey. I look at it now, and am just glad my weight is lower than last week considering how many cravings I had, and that while I stayed within my official calorie allowance, it was by the the barest hair compared to the several hundred below of my regular diet, and that I skipped three days of exercise in favor of spending the time instead with my heating pad. Waist measurement back to pre tummy trouble 34”. Hip measurement down another quarter inch to 43” exact.

My tummy is still not completely back to normal, so I’m glad that today’s weigh in and measurement weren’t even more off track. Waist measurement is still back to pre-increase in exercise circumference - 35 inches at my belly button, no not the thinnest portion but where the intervention asks for a measurement to be taken, down from the 36 inches it was mid week, and my widest hip measurement is down another quarter inch - today at 43.25”, it was 45” on January 12 when I started increasing my exercise and added in weight bearing exercise to what was already my moderately aerobic daily life.

I did not increase my exercise this week, and for the moment don’t plan to unless and until I stop being sore every day (good muscle sore, but still sore). My measurements dropped a fraction of an inch at my hips, but went back up to my starting measurement at my waist, which I blame on a bit of gut tightness that hit me at the end of the week, perhaps due to the peanut butter cups (and other chocolate confections) that were within my diet budget, but aren’t part of my regular diet. Looking back, I ate some nearly every day of the past week. Hmmm.

It was a week on vacation, during which I increased the body-weight exercise I am doing by another seven minutes to a total of 28 minutes of HIIT, five days of the week, and continued my normal T-Tapp basic routine (~10 minutes of really excellent body alignment, which increases my heart rate nicely and which I am counting as home calisthenics). I also got in some hiking. My measurements are steady from last week, but still down an inch each on waist and widest hip since January 12, and my weight is down another pound from last week, though again that could have been a week in the desert drying me out.
I had at least one vacation meal that consisted of a giant mound of matchstick fries covered in green chile and cheese, and another that was pretty much dessert for dinner (flourless chocolate cake with mocha ice cream and fresh whipped cream, both meals delicious), but kept my weekly calories below my allotment. I am counting all good.

Traveling to a drier climate, so the four pound loss since last week could just be water weight, or the different scale.
