Another week of battling sinus hell, stress, and limited exercise. My measurements miraculously stayed steady (33” waist, 42” hip), and my weight went up a pound. I am not hopeful of improvement over the next week.

Not much movement since last week, but I only did my HIIT two days, ate to my caloric allotment every day (and well over at least once). It was a hug the heating pad kind of week where I bicycle commuted to work only one day. Today’s measurements are 33” exact at the waist and 42” exact at the hip. Not a surprise.

This was the second week after the weight loss study completed, and I am reporting only for myself (and any of you who choose to read, which certainly is motivation, thank you FS). I did 21 minutes of HIIT three days this past week, 10 minutes of ttapp calisthenics six days, and due to schedule disruptions only bicycled to work one day this week, but walked longer and further than usual (taking transit) the four other weekdays. The disruption will persist through mid-May 😕. I am still pushing at the limits of my recalibrated calories on a daily basis, but tipped over only one day, and my weakly calories average just under the allotment, and certainly way under my caloric expenditure. My measurements today are 33.5” at the waist, 42 at the hip, so progress is being made quarter inch by quarter inch (it would probably look quicker in cm....though with larger numbers).
I tried on a pair of trousers from my early thirties that hadn’t gotten purged, and they buttoned and zipped, wearable but a little snug. I also put a pair of trousers from my loose and comfortable stack in my to be donated box, as they are too loose now to stay up!!!

After last week’s weigh in I had the app recalculate my daily allotted calories, looked at it and thought no big since I thought I usually eat less than that, only to go into the red three days in a row this week. I stayed below weekly calories, since those three stressful days (with extra special bonus of a hovering headache threatening to turn into a migraine, which I am still doing battle with) were bookended by lightweight consumption (mainly vegetables and fruits only). Measurements unchanged for the hip, down a quarter inch to 33.75”. (at the waist, edit to add)

I am weighing in earlier in the day on Sunday today because my 23&me weight loss intervention is officially over, and I will no longer be getting a survey to fill out later in the day on Sunday. That means some of the progress reflected above is just time of day (before food). I went down 9 pounds during the 12 weeks, while my stated goal was 5 (because I believe in modest, un-daunting, achievable goals), and am now halfway to my goal of the year here, dropping twenty pounds, which seems very likely if I keep up.
Last week I did 21 minutes of HIIT four out of seven days, did my 10 minute calisthenics ttapp routine five of those days, and bicycle commuted to work (30-45 minutes each way, job depending) five days. My hip measurement this morning is 42.5” (down a quarter inch since last week), and my waist is stubbornly back up a quarter inch to 34”.
