The Striiv Smart Pedometer has died ignobly on the field of battle, er, fitness. I dropped it in the toilet. At least it was a $30 tracker instead of a $600 phone. I was playing a Farmville-type game on the tracker instead of minding my business, so to speak. :-/
I don't know whether the dunking or the dropping did it in. I have dropped it fairly often as it got dislodged from the belt. The outer shell the clip was on seemed to do a good job of protecting it from impact, but maybe it was one too many. It was made of plastic. I have read user reviews complaining about reliability.

Decided I will do two weigh-ins tomorrow, one with the Omron and one with the EatSmart scale. Morning weigh-in with the Omron since that's what I've been doing. Afternoon weigh-in with the EatSmart as a cross check and because it measures water weight and muscle mass. The Omron doesn't measure water weight and measures skeletal muscle as a percentage, not a weight.
Starting my gratitude journal back up using Evernote after two online services died on me. There aren't any good Android apps as far as I can tell.

Two culinary experiments last night with mixed success: rice crispy treats and homemade Larabars. Log Cabin Syrup not thick enough to hold the rice together. Didn't have dates for the Larabars so I substituted raisins. I really needed an 8x8 pan to form bars. All I had was a muffin tin.

I tried to pair the Misfit Shine with my new Asus Memo 7 tablet. I couldn't even turn it on. The battery shouldn't be discharged after a couple of months. The Shine is a piece of junk, a waste of money even though I paid 25 percent of retail. If I had the money, I'd get a Garmin VivoFit.
The Big Chill hit us last night: down to 20 degrees. Bedroom was 61 this morning.
Runtastic Sleep Better app says my sleep efficiency last night was 94 percent. You can unlock additional features for $1.99, but I am going to wait to see if I use the app consistently. That app syncs with my Runtastic account.
Now using Healthy Habit Tracker app to track protein, supplements, etc. to ensure I hit my daily marks. I like that it backs data up to the cloud, syncs across platforms, and shows your streaks, as per Seinfeld's productivity maxim, "Don't break the chain."
I'm temporarily off the Alternate Day Diet to slow the rate of weight loss.
First world problems while trying to do cardio on the Air Walk Trainer: weed whacker drowning out Netflix, Netflix not loading and signing me out, etc.

Forgot to deploy the Runtastic sleep tracker last night. Looked at the Lumo Lift posture tracker, but it only supports iOS. Interesting article in The Guardian predicts smart watches and clothes will eclipse fitness trackers. I have gotten a lot of use out of the Striiv Smart Pedometer.
Steps yesterday: 3,424. New daily average to beat: 884.
Enjoying my Oprah chai tea. The vanilla chia pudding tastes OK. Aesthetically, it looks like grey goop. I miss my processed foods, tweaked to perfection by chemists. The first thing they would change is the color.
