Monday workout done! Here is my calf picture..... I am back on heavy sets with fewer reps but more sets. I had a PB with doing dumbbell lunges with 2 45# and 7 reps 1x and 5 reps 3x. BTW I hate lunges but our trainer believes in them for a good core! I also got in 7 Lat Pull downs at 100# for another PB! I don't know how to flex so someone needs to have a session for that for us newbies!

#FlexFriday - Ok I need to get a picture of my calves but.......I have had a goal of 100# flat bench press and to be able to do just more than 1 rep. I can still only do 1 rep but I did 4 sets in my last training sessions so my picture is paying tribute to my arms for helping get my goal. Next goal is to at least get 3 reps in a row at 100#. My trainer is always saying "Don't be afraid to get stronger"

When you are in the gym you should focus on gaining competency in the basic human movement patterns:
1. Squat
2. Lunge
3. Hinge
4. Push
5. Pull
6. Carry
The majority of your training should be focused on getting as strong as you can in these movement patterns.

Weekend goals to not undue all my hard work during the week!
Friday’s workout I hit a personal best on shoulder press of 70#
Weighted Planks-45# 3 sets 30 seconds
Stability Ball Elevated Crunch 5x15
Shoulder Press 65 lb 3x1 70 lb 2x1
Dumbbell Lunge 30 lb 2x15
Lat Pulldown 70 lb 2x15
48# kettlebell 7 sets of 20seconds
