Had a great weekend visiting my best friend in Sacramento! April was the last time we saw each other so it was so nice to be w/ her again. Love her to death & missed her before I even left. I treated us to getting our hair done & putting the finishing touches on our matching tattoos (our artist was HOT!!! & married of course). It was a fun & chill weekend which is what I needed before starting school. That being said, I started the spring semester today. 117 days till graduation!! My classes do not seem like they're going to be very fun or interesting this semester which will make for a LONG semester, but who knows.
Today's workout:
Elliptical: 35 mins 2.7mi (477 cals)
Stairclimber: 10 mins 26 floors 400 steps .44mi (96 cals)
Treadmill: 20 mins 1.11mi (230.8 cals)
Total Miles: 4.25
Abbreviated workout as I expected a ride at a particular time only to find out after I had stopped & changed that she was just waiting on my call b/ her previous plans had changed. Hoping tomorrow I can get a full workout in & schedule an appt. for a free personal training consultation & based on that may pay for a personal training sessions.

Went to the gym this morning & totally made up for not working out for 3 days. In this order:
Elliptical: 35 mins, warm up 3 mins, resistance 15 for 1.5 min & 1 for 1 min, cool down 5 mins, Ave HR 178 & Max HR 186 (getting better finally), 2.72mi, cals burned per machine 476
Horizontal Bike: 35 mins, warm up 3 mins, resistance 15 for 1.5 min & 1 for 1 min, cool down 5 mins, Ave HR 163 & Max HR 173, 5.38mi, cals burned per machine 189
Stairclimber: 35 mins, 90.5 floors, 1358 steps, 1.58mi, Ave HR 177 & Max HR 190 (will have to work on that one), cals burned per machine 333
Treadmill: 35 mins, warm up 3 mins @ 3mph, incline 10 during intervals w/ 4.0 & 3.5mph, cool down 5 mins, Ave HR 177 & Max HR 184, 1.89mi, cals burned per machine 397.3
Total Cals: 1395.3 & Miles for the week: 6.19
Glad I worked out this morning & not tried to do this later in the day b/c I don't think I would have the energy for this. The stairclimber was a first for me. I tried it once back when I was in HS & don't think I lasted even 5 mins. It was hard, but not as hard as I thought. I was thinking I'd go for 5 mins, then when that passed I figured 10. When that passed I decided on 20 but once I reached that I said I'll just keep taking it 5 mins at a time & I think I'll make it to 30. Didn't realize there was a cool down on that machine so I survived the 35 mins. I think I did pretty damn good for my first time!! = D Will definitely be incorporating this exercise into my workout.
Weight-wise the scale is still all over the place. 3 days w/o working out, 1 day of over 200 oz of fluids, 1 day of less than 40oz of water, it's still being crazy. I can only assume I'll be up at least 2lbs tomorrow after today's workout (even w/ the protein shake right afterward). Oh well, measuring tape better prove to be a better friend to me.
Time to order my books for the semester & get ready for my weekend getaway to Sacramento to see my bestie!! I'm super excited & it should be a blast!
Great song I heard while just hangin' on toward the end of my stairclimbing workout. Definitely something alot of people need to hear ;0)

Lol, anxieties realized!! What can I say, I know my body & it's just not going to cooperate.
No changing my weight even though I'm up. As soon as I started working out, immediate 6lb gain & I've been trying to work my way back down pretty much since Mon. Was 1/2 way back down but after yesterday's workout, back up another lb. If my body worked off of just the the math, I should be down 4.7lbs, but not me. Lol, not in this universe. This is why I don't set up goals. I can only hope there's measurement difference come Feb 1st (even at that I'm not expecting much).
Once financial aid comes in things are gonna shake up. I'm going to start drinking at least 2 protein shakes (if not 3) everyday. That's 435 cals out of my allotment but such is life. And although I won't be proud of it, I'm probably going to do a detox/cleanse as well. Not one that requires me not to eat at least 1200 cals though. Not willing to go that far. Feel like I need to kick start my body into losing mode so that the wheels in this engine will start moving.
**Note to self: 17.94mi down, 82.06mi to go in 92 days**

Slackin' on the journaling! Mostly due to not wanting to & not fully being able to verbalize the anxiety I've been feeling lately. But that will come later. Need to keep track of my workouts for now.
Elliptical: 35 mins (481 cals via machine)
Ave HR 184 & Max HR 190, Resistance 1 for 1 min & 15 for 1.5 mins
3 min warm up & 5 min cool down, 2.75mi
Horizontal Bike: 35 mins (201 cals via machine)
Ave HR 171 & Max HR 180, Resistance 1 for 1 min & 15 for 1.5 mins
3 min warm up & 5 min cool down, 6.10mi
Total miles Mon-Sat: 13.21mi (86.79mi to go in 94 days)
That's about it for now. Here's a dish I made the other night, a spicy Thai noodle & chicken dish. My mom liked it so much that I'll be making it again w/ shrimp = )
