Finally a small drop. Woke up with swollen fingers again (water retention) is this common on keto? Anyone else have this?

I don't do keto (can't digest the fats) but I took a dose of NyQuil awhile back and woke up with swollen fingers. I don't think the diet would do it.

Keto usually has the opposite effect. Might want to take a look specifically at the items you maybe consuming, they could play a role.

I actually had the opposite effect my rings are getting to big on keto for only a week. However, i was having bloat issues the first 4 days. I realized it had to do with dehydration and body retaining water. Ive been making sure i have 60 oz water a day and a magnesium supp and it stopped my bloating.

Thanks for the advice! I actually had the opposite my first week as well...but the last 8-10 days have been different. I lost over 5lbs the first week (water Im sure) then have gone up a little since and can’t seem to drop down to where I was 10 days ago. I drink plenty of water...will take extra magnesium and see if that helps. My foods aren’t much different from the first week.

I eat low carb high fat, if I do not drink enough water, I get bloated. It seems crazy but it's absolutely the case for me.
