3.1 miles walked...yet another beautiful, sunshiney day, about 62-66 degrees. Doggies came along for 1.9 miles.

I'm still adding that little bit of extra exercise sometime after 4PM. I'm still extra hungry and tired as the day goes on. Last night, I got about 9 hours of sleep and felt like I could have used even more!

I'm not completely convinced the hunger is from the additional exercise, but perhaps from the higher SA's in my non-usual Atkins bar and/or carbs in other foods. So, I dropped the whey protein shake today as my "snack" prior to walking and will try to focus on clean protein if I do get hungry. The whey protein is not typical for me, but I've been having it along with strawberries, which are very much in season right now and absolutely delicious!

DH's eye surgery (another one), initially scheduled for next month, has been moved up to Monday, due to a schedule opening.

Ummm, strawberries...especially this time of year are soooo sweet. Ah, I think you are killing me here, as I can't fit those in my carb budget...yet...as I wipe the drool! Somedays I can't decide which I miss most, my berries or sweet potatoes & green beans. Anyway, I am thinking that anytime excercise is ramped up it's going to have an effect on you, like being more tired &/or hungry, I don't think that's abnormal at all, happens to me too. I try to drink extra water & spend my carbs as wisely as possible, going for a little more quantity if possible, sometimes I like to feel full. Is is good DH gets his surgery sooner...right?

It IS a good thing the surgery is coming up earlier. This is just one of a few steps toward trying to restore his vision to what it used to be. Can't get to the final result without going through these earlier steps. Strawberries aren't too big a problem in the carb budget as long as the portion is small....I think Gigi39 wrote about that today...just 2-4 strawberries go into my smoothies, depending on size.....that amounts to about 2-2.5 oz. in total.

Well then I am glad he can get in earlier, so he'll be "done" sooner...right? About those strawberries...I am not to be trusted & I know it, I wish it were different, but it is what it is. 8 is a good number, I think I could work with that...if they are big ones...LOL!

Hey Sandy..so glad the surgery has been bumped up..the sooner the better I am sure..Love strawberries but can't eat them as I can have anything seedy..or nuts or anthing in the cabbage family..I can have canned peaches and cottage cheese though..so there's my treat...no more corn chips though..LOL..Have a great evening..:O)

Bren, cottage cheese and canned peaches used to be a diet staple of mine....loved them both!!! Definitely watch out for those corn chips....you don't need to add to your Tuesday dental visit!

Buffy, it's looking more and more like I just need to drop the carbs. That's really the only thing that makes any sense, so that may be the next tweak....or should I say, "Tweak of the Week?" LOL!!!

Sandy, I so hear you on the weight loss slow down...still stuck at 193. not sure what else I can do, except alleviate the stress and that doesn't appear likely to happen anytime soon. lol Glad hubby's eye surgery has been moved up. Will be praying! Hugs!
