Dear Scale,

I am writing this letter to you know that I don't get mad, I GET EVEN.

You have not budged in 3 DAYS. I will stay the course. I have been averaging 28.12 net carbs and with a little calorie cycling and fasting, averaging 1386 calories between Sun - Tue. (I am eating enough because I go to bed satisfied and don't have any cravings after dinner)

I expected 204.x or 203.x today and still 205.2 - Urghhh!!!!!

I am disappointed in you, stupid scale.

SOMETHING ive learned over the course of thinking i had it fiigured out...it comes off when its ready...everytime you think you have it figured out...the body throws you a curve an the scales..even though they dont give you the number you are expecting...you might be releasing in inches instead of pounds...just remember to stick with it an see results...

It's always just before a new scale victory that this seems to happen with me as well. Frustrating, but you can do it!

Muscle weighs more than fat, you may be increasing your muscle tone which can explain the plateau

How long have you been low carb and so low calorie? It could be that you simply need a higher calorie/ carb refeed day or two. Google it. Our bodies are not meant to be so diet restricted for long periods of time. There are many sources that believe that going below 10x bodyweight calories--especially for active men--simply is unsustainable.

ches, are you *sure* you're eating enough? when I try to be "good" and go down to those levels, I stall right out...then when I remember it's "my friend Ana" telling me less is better, and start eating more, and down goes the scale...

Just a thought, I am on an LCHF diet and also stagnate at times, a lot of my reading has led me to review my protein intake. If you are going much over 1.5 grams per KG of body weight you can be putting yourself in a situation that any additional protein is being converted to glucose and causes your body to fall out of fat burning mode.

SA Jim is correct - protein ratio in keto is sensitive.

Try weighting every week (instead of every couple of days). Stick to the diet. Might be a bit easier for you. I think it will go down eventually.

The best diet is portion control and exercise. Fad diets like Atkins and Keto can have long term consequences on your health later on down the road. Losing a lot of weight in a short amount of time is not good for you. You are less likely to fail with portion control than a restrictive diet. Just don't give up.

Christine De Leon - Keto is not a fad diet. It has been around for 150 years. And muscle does not weight more than fat...they weigh the same. Muscle tissue os more dense - that is all.

My scale is stuck too. The 180's seem impossible to get through while it seems like I sailed through the 190's. It is frustrating

Grab a tape measure Ches. When working out, muscle will grow and you will gain weight but lose inches.

Hang in there Ches. As you already know, weight loss isn't linear. BTW: This may sound odd to a guy who is working as hard as you are but I noticed that your average daily calorie burn is less than mine. You are a bigger guy than me and increasing calories burned may help. I also suggest you move towards a sustainable diet on non-fasting days...
