I would do as you have done: let them remove the tumor. However I'd never let them do chemo or radiation. Instead I'd use Ginger root and Ginger juice to kill the cancer. Ginger kills cancer three ways. look it up?

and chemo doesn't kill the cancer stem cells. so much research showing how chemo doesn't work. But it's the "normal and usual" procedures that doctors are obligated to use for insurance reasons. which also happens to be extremely profitable... 

My mother at 88, my father at 54, my sister at 46 all died of cancer. I'm 73, I eat ginger every day. I have no sign of cancer.

However, I suspect their motive. for insurance reasons, sticking to the normal and usual is the safest thing FOR the doctor and hospital. The research will never convince them all to deviate from "normal and usual" profitable treatments.
