Someone just sent me a photo of me kayaking. It is the first photo of myself kayaking I've ever seen. I can't tell you how awesome it made me feel. I was looking at a fit, healthy, outdoorsy person...not me. I've never seen myself like that before. After a few minutes it settled in and I finally started thinking in a sassy tone "yep, that's me. I do that!"

You look and sound a pretty fit, awesome person to me :-). Funny how sometimes we don't see ourselves as others see us. Generally, your brain "prepares" a picture of what you are expecting to see - sometimes focusing on the positive - sometimes the negative, depending on your self esteem. When we catch sight of ourselves unexpectedly, in a mirror or a pix, our brain hasn't been able to prepare us to view ourselves as we believe we look.
