Ok, so after a lot of debate and for several reasons I'm switching up my diet. Going from Ketogenic (mostly animal products no carbs) to vegetarian with healthy mod-low carb choices. I'm going to try to keep my calories around 1200 and either do cardio of some weights daily. Here goes nothing!!

What works best for each of us is often different, I'm a balanced diet kinda guy now, but I still really need to be careful with some carbs (sugar mainly) as they are in a lot of things that we eat (bread) or drink (soda) as a culture. Both forms of exercise, anaerobic and aerobic, are beneficial, just adding a bit of both to your day will really pay off over time. Good luck, hope you find a groove that works for you!!

Oh ya, I was pre-diabetic last July, quite a shocker as I was pretty active...that's why I'm here now and looking at this weight loss not as a diet but as a lifestyle I can sustain for long term health and fitness.

I've been doing Atkins vegetarian style. I know if I increase my carbs, I will have cravings again.

we do what we have to do. I switch back and forth from Atkins and low calorie. I wait until I get to the place where I lose nothing for a couple of weeks or for no reason gain. This works for me. Good luck.
