I just read Clan of the Cave Bear book and Ayla was name of leading character! I love the name! 

Thanks that is indeed where her namesake is from. It not a single book though Ayla has a long history you should read the rest of them. 😁 She as has a camp on the video game Chrono trigger if you like RPG games. 😉❣️ Although not intentional all the children have names that can be found in epic stories. We have Ayla as you know. Then Thorin oak (came to me in a dream after my miscarriage on the third month rather then being from Lord of the rings), and Aria (in this case more like the opera then Game of Thrones, lol). Neither of those were intended book references. 

I like to read a lot I don't read as much now that I've gone blind in my right eye it tires me out it's hard to see. I used to read a 300-500 page fantasy novel on a day easy. My mother gave me a Kindle and I've been trying to use that because I can make the print much larger but honestly it still hurts my eyes a little bit. I'll get used to it and get back into reading again it's a little bit of a setback that's all. 

I have read all books once except last book! Thirty years later re-reading! I just enjoy so much! Yes, and Lord of the Rings as well!  

Leah i love your kiddos names. Beautiful. I also have lost my nearsighted vision (that’s correct right-nearsighted to read up close? I always get them confused). I am mot blind by any means but need 2.75 readers or as large of font as possible on my phone and i still squint a bit if not wearing readers. It’s my one loss. I have always been an avid reader tho my taste runs to Stephen king and john Grisham type novelists for the most part and i can finish a book in a day or two (makes for a good student being able to read so fast) but i like to lay down and read and of course with glasses that is annoying. So i dont read as much as i used to because of the loss of clarity. I am not a candidate for lasik as i have an astigmatism wherein the eye is already flattish so they cannot shave it. But i do the same on my iPad. Make the font HUGE. And i often send text messages that are unintentionally funny because i didnt proofread and autocorrect changed it to something silly and it was blurry for me so…. I feel you. Ive said it before but you have such an amazing and positive outlook and persona. Many people could learn valuable lessons in dealing with adversity from you. Cheers my friend 💕  

Lol, autocorrect is also my enemy. Lately, I've been listening to audio books instead of reading. As I get older, I seem to have less time to sit down with a book. 

P.S. I loved Clan of the Cave Bear, read all the books! 

I need to check back into the library's auto book collection. They have a free fee forgiveness program that's available in the summer that I can look into to see if I have any fees that need forgiven. In the past I have not been the biggest fan of audiobooks because often time they only have one audio reader and I don't really care that one person does all the voices. I liked a lot of the audio books from the 80s because a lot of different people did the voices. Back when we took a lot of road trips as a family we would frequent a lot of the truck stops and they had a program where you could rent the books on tape and then return them from truck stop to truck stop and I really enjoyed those but you don't seem to find those types of audio books anymore. But now that I have this disability I may need to be a little bit more flexible and understanding to this so that I can enjoy more types of entertainment. Sometimes we need to learn and grow to be a better person this may be one of those types of experiences. 

The ones I check out from the library have different voices. I hate the monotone ones, can't listen to them at all. I'm considering getting audible, they have a three month trial in my email, but the library has been working out so far.
