Well today I sort of cheated a little. I had 2 grapes, a strawberry and a blueberry, and a little tiny piece of the birthday cake I made for my grand daughter. Get home and my blood sugar is 115? What's up with that? I was expecting at least 150! And how do I count cake decorating as an exercise, cause I'm sure the stress that went with all that work had to have burned some calories! lol. Only 5 more days till we leave on our trip. I will try as hard as I can but I'm not going to stress about eating bad. There are just a couple items that are must haves when we go back home. And when staying at my brother-in-law's house we won't have much control over what is eaten. They love to go to McDonalds for breakfast. I can't think of anything I even want there. I know my old favorite the yogurt parfait is full of carbs. Sigh!

do some shopping for yourself when you get there thats what I do when traveling,, offer to make a dish to go with the protein that is being cooked,, Just do your best ,, enjoy yourself and don't stress over it thats even worse ,, do the scrambled eggs and bacon at MD's,,

Dorinda, Dorinda, Dorinda....what are we going to do with you and your cheating!!!!LOL I'd say you did a wonderful job of controlling yourself. I would have used all my carbs for the month licking the frosting off the beaters, bowl, knife and spoon! I have no qualms that you and Greg will do well on your trip!

I agree - LOL! Two grapes? One strawberry and one blueberry??? That is not a cheat! I suppose you could try egg sausage mcmuffin and toss the english muffin completely - I would probably skip the cheese since it will stick to the muffin - ick!

Lol no the fruit wasn't too bad at all, but the cake could have been. I think I did very well on controlling myself. Used to be I could eat a whole cake by myself and ate most the scraps when I baked and decorated them. I worked in a bakery for years and loved fresh cookies and cake donuts and several of our other products. I couldn't do that now.
