Happy Wednesday Morning.
Busy day ahead....off to the gym to get in some Cardio, then to Church as it is Ash Wednesday, then dr's appt, and then off to work....
Had my first session yesterday with the trainer, it was great. Obviously, my take on strength training was way off.....I used muscles that I didn't even know were there.....last time they were called upon, I think child birth was involved....LOL Had a severe case of "Spaghetti Legs" when we were through. LOL, And feeling a might stiff in the leg today...good grief am I out of shape, she assures me this will get easier...LOL Have another session of strength training scheduled for Thursday with her, hoping my muscles will be ready to cooperate..:) This is really a nice benefit to my gym membership, no additional cost She did basic measurements...which was interesting since I have never measured. Chest: 34, Waist 28, Hips: 36.5...Okay...pretty obvious where I carry all the extra lbs...:), will be interesting to see where I am at the end of the 9 week program.

Hey Raven - So glad you enjoyed your experience w/ the trainer! Sounds like she gave you a little run for your money (so to speak). Just remember building lean muscle will up your metabolism, so in the process, you will be able to burn more efficiently, but also eat a little more (protein, fats, and carbs) ...down the road. One of the reasons I enjoy getting to the gym a couple times a week. Much Love.

Wow Deb, sounds like you had a great time with your personal trainer. I wish I could afford to go to the gym. I know I am not targeting the un-used muscles the way I should. You sure have a filled day. Hope nothing serious for you to have to see the doctors? Is it a routine check? Hope all goes well and have a wonderful day.:)

Hi Raven, nice measurements, from where I sit I think you are already where you need to be, as tall as you are. Glad you are enjoying the gym membership and the strength training. I always enjoyed moving weights around but not so much on the cardio stuff. Nice to see the sibs enjoy each other too. Ciao. xxx

Way to go on the weight training! I love it, but haven't done it in so long I'm sure I would have entire spaghetti body, not just legs.

Hi Raven..she is right. Little by little you will get used to this and be an Ultimate Champion Warrior...lol One of my weight training disks always says that and it makes me feel powerful.. Now you can feel powerful too. lol Enjoy your day!!

More muscle = more fat burning! Strength training is a very powerful tool when it comes to making your body use up fuel more efficiently. Congrats on your successful session! Those measurements will go down especially the larger number :D

Hi Steph...thanks I did enjoy Mass this morning. Giving up Alcohol...which I truly consider a sacrifice, since I am very fond of my glass of red wine on occassion, also traditional abstinence/no meat and fasting/ which allows for one light meal on Fridays. Really love the Lenten Season...Hope you day is wonderful. So happy your week is going so well..!

Raven, you are so sweet to say such nice stuff, even when I flounder. Thank you. But your workout must have been interesting. You know, if I had your measurements, I don't think I would be on a diet. Way to go! Have fun tomorrow and hope you're not to stiff and sore. :-)
