I was doing really well, then after a three day bout of constipation (from which I've since recovered) I'm up 1.5 pounds. You know, this has happened before. I'll go several days without going, then when it finally clears up, it appears that I've gained weight in spite of not having strayed from my plan. It's almost as if the extra time causes the body to squeeze out additional calories.

Of course, that doesn't explain 1.5 pounds worth of additional calories, so who the hell knows. But this is not the first time this has happened.

Another downside is that at the end of day three of this last bout, I was in so much discomfort, I had to skip a big workout night which probably cost me about 600-800 calories of output. That's an expensive miss.

I was planning to simply not weigh in here again until I was down again, but a few friends said, "No, you have to weigh in. You don't want to only weight in when you lose. That's cheating."

At first I resisted, but eventually, I caved in. So there it is. Not discouraged. It is what it is.

I've got nothing new to add, it's already pretty much been said, but want to jump in and say hang in there, you're done fantastic! All will be ok, keep it up!

You have lost a great deal, that is so awesome! They Psyllium Husks are amazing, my hub's parents had those issues because they don't eat much fiber (meat almost daily) and they are on easy road with the Psyllium. A good one to try is Organic India brand on Amazon. Read online about it, "the clean swipe"---lol. It works well, and you can incorporate daily a T or a few t.

OK, just a vent here on your behalf. This is another one of those nasty little tricks of the universe IMO. #1 - being really REALLY sick to the point where you can't eat and gaining at the end of the adventure. #2 - being in enough pain to warrant pain meds and having them cause a gain AND discomfort in other areas. Hoping your body sets itself to rights soon. You KNOW the weight will get back to what it should be. You're doing all the right things and this is just the universe and your body messing with you a bit.

NM... you really said that, didn't you? roflmao. MM if you're going to consider probiotics, begin at around 50b or more for several weeks then bring it down to 25/daily. Stuff works wonders.
