Doing great. Feeling great. After years of saying I don't run; I can't jog, someone put the bug in my ear to do a walk/run, slip a few minutes of jogging into my long walks. I did it last night. A whole new sensation. I took a 2.75 mile walk that normally takes 50 minutes when walking fast, and last night I did it in 35 minutes. I started out on a fast walk, thought I'd jog a little, got weary, walked again, and as soon as I was breathing steadily again, I wanted to jog more. I finished in only 35 minutes. And afterward I felt great.
My kids are doing a 5k on April 25. I think I'll register too. My goal will be to not finish dead last, and if I keep running a little with my walks, I'll try to finish in under 40 minutes.
