A WEE SCOTTISH BLETHER

I've decided that I need to journal a bit more often as I'm finding things a bit harder now. I don't seem to be able to get back into the swing of things since I've been away. Its taking me much longer than usual to lose the 6 lb I gained and my eating, while not really bad, is not good. I've been low on veggies and water and had far too much cheese - had a jam sandwich for lunch one day and on top of it all Christmas is just over a week away.

The weather here has been below freezing for over a week and the log pile is going down alarmingly fast. I haven't been able to go swimming as the roads haven't been good at 7.00 in the morning. The ruts made by the tractors are just huge skating rinks and its just not possible to drive on it until the farmers have gritted and they don't do that until about 9.30 when they've fed animals etc. Forecast is better for tomorrow with temperatures rising quite a bit so here's hoping....

It seems odd but even though I'm still 3 pounds up my shape is still changing for the better. I've had a couple of glasses of wine too and in the past that would have sent my weight up immediately but not this time.

If this was a school report, the remarks would read "could do better"
