I hope you found some other ways to de-stress the day, and comfort yourself... you can't deny life happens!! But we can find the necessary skill sets to cope, maintain a healthy balanced lifestyle - and stay within the parameters of our new life! You obviously did a great job on taking a pass on the 'cookie day' - but how did you do on finding another way to deal with your stress? Bubble bath perhaps? Or a nice long walk w/the dog? (if you have one?) You're not hopeless - you're fantastic! Love you more!!!

After I finished crying (great stress reliever!) I re-read some of the posts I had printed out, took a shower and went to bed telling myself that tomorrow would be a better day. Three months ago I really would have eaten the package of cookies and things still wouldn't have been any different except that I would have a reason to be mad at me on top of everything else! You guys are teaching me to love myself and so much more. It may sink in slowly but I am truly "getting" it! Big hugs!!

Good for you! Excellent stress reliever (a good cry is worth it's weight in gold some days!) Learning this new lifestyle...not so difficult...Learning to love ourselves...that's the hard part! And that's the part that MATTERS MOST! It's the cement that holds you to your new lifestyle commitment! It becomes all about YOU! And that's the way it should be :)

I always found that crying in the shower a great stress reducer...also, hard to eat cookies in the shower! Good for you!

You made me laugh wildflower! I can see a cartoon me bawling my eyes out in the shower and trying to eat cookies!! So funny!!!
