Thanks my buddies. As you know I've been floundering. I've recently re introduced coconut oil, which helps reduce my appetite. And I was not focusing on water. So, more water and consistent use of coconut oil seems to be helping. Onward and downward!

how do you get your coconut oil, I take pills but read they weren't very effective

Read Dr. Bruce Fife's book, THE COCONUT KETOGENIC DIET. It details the amazing qualities of coconut oil. He recommends 3 TBS per meal. I'll have to work up to that! I had 2 TBS of MCT oil today and I was not hungry all day and my energy was off the charts. I weeded our 12 overgrown blueberry bushes, gave the kitchen a deep cleaning then emptied my closet, scrubbed it down and sorted ALL my clothes (donating about 1/2 of them that are now too big for me). I'm going to keep up with the coconut oil; I'll let you know how it goes. I use it in cooking, salad dressing, on cooked veggies. Today I had two bullet proof decaf coffees. That's MCT oil and butter blended into coffee - 1 TBS of each. I added a TBS of cocoa powder to one of them - delish! MCT stands for medium chain triglycerides - it's a refined coconut oil that is liquid at room temperature and easier to use in some recipes.

Any tips on taking the MCT oil or even coconut? I did a tbs of MCT and was grossed out lol

Xappie, I never eat it straight. Use it for cooking; it takes on the flavors of the food. I had a steak seared in coconut oil with mushrooms and spinach for dinner tonight - all pretty much flavored by the coconut oil and drippings. It was delicious. Or use it in the morning for bulletproof coffee. And for salad dressings or for cooking veggies. Just like any other oil.
