So this morning I'm at 172 pounds, 16.4% body fat. I've been eating in a 1,000 - 1,200 caloric deficit and going to the gym 5x a week for 2 months. I'm starting to get a little burned out.

Can you give yourself a 1500-1800 calorie day every other week? I find this seems to have helped me a bit. I don’t see as much loss but don’t gain that day either.

Looking at your past entries, I don’t think it’s the gym stressing you out. You and the other person in your relationship are the only ones that know whether it’s worth salvaging Some are some are not. Go back to the gym for yourself, not for anybody else. Looking at your current weight and your goal weight 11-1500 deficit is too much IMO. ✌️

I appreciate all the advice in here. To clarify a few things: - My deficit is not necessarily healthy. I get that. I channel my Wrestling/MMA days on cutting to get to where I want to be. I know my energy levels are suffering bc of it, but I appreciate the words. - I get really good logging, but then I go into autopilot mode knowing what things are from a macro standpoint, so I'll miss it sometimes. I basically eat the same things every day, and keep my protein high and carbs low. I try to get 150-200g protein while keeping carbs under 100, most of the time. - The relationship has nothing to do with my cutting. We are just currently unavailable due to our work schedules and we don't see each other as often as I would like. Thanks all for the words.

You’re not alone, same here. I’m down 30+ pounds in about 90 days. Doing cardio,lifting , and eating clean every day. Legs are heavy, no energy, tired, and hitting burnout. The struggle is real, hang in there.

Perhaps you should try some Xanax. I only offer this as an opinion, tho, as I avoid pharmaceuticals.

You may be tiring out your adrenals eating that little and exercising 5 days. Maybe up you calories one day decrease the next and walk instead of hard workouts for a week? Your metabolism needs to be tricked

Sounds to me like you are not eating enough~ then your body hangs on to what is there feeling it is in starvation mode. I maintain a weight between 156 and 158 eating at least 1400 to 1800 calories :)

Oh and I am an old lady lol that lost over 100 pounds 5 years ago.

@philrmcknight No reason to be offended. Plenty of people do take them. Aspirin, Tylenol, Ibuprofin....
