I'm stuck weight wise. I was in Los Angeles for a week for my step mother's 90th birthday. Had a great time. Didn't eat particularly poorly or huge portions and didn't drink as much beer as I usually allow myself on a vacation. However I took a vacation from recording my intake and decided to focus on my strength, how I feel, and how my clothes fit rather than a number on the scale. I'm going to let myself take the month of October off from the recording of all intake, work hard in the gym, and the pool and be consistant about keeping my lift, rest, swim repeat daily schedule. It will be interesting to see what November 1st (I'm still finding that a monthly weight in is best for me psychologically) brings -- on the scale.
I'm already getting back towards my PRs for squat 270 3 x 5, Deadlift 300 1 x 5, Overhead press 120 3 x 5 and bench 175 3 x 5. My clothes fit as well or better than befoe. I'm thinking I need to buy some 36" waist jeans, my energy level is good. I really have adopted the Barbell Prescription mind sent of training rather than simply exercising. What am I training for? I'm 64 in training for 65 and I'm training to have my health span, as much as possible, match my life span.
