I had a really awesome week! Logged my food intake consistently this week. I'm still trying to figure out how much I should be eating calorie wise with my level of exercise and not feeling starved. I think a lot of it lies in my food choices. I'm really trying to make veggies and protein the main star of my meals. So far this seems to be working. I had a few slip ups. Someone brought in donuts to work mid week. Unfortunately there were some in the box that I like so it was difficult to talk myself out of them. I ate 3.5 of them and logged those calories. I then went to my hour long body sculpting class to reinforce better behavior. I slipped and got back up.

Managed to log 23 miles for this weeks challenge! I worked out every day this week. Most of this was logged during my mile swim today and my 9 mile hike yesterday at a local park. I am very proud of this. I wasn't "dead" looking when we were done. The only issue I had was a few blisters that developed on my 4th toes since I am not used to logging that type of mileage. And leg soreness, most of which appears to be gone now. It took us 4 hours to finish total (3.5 hours though walked). This was partly due to one of the other hikers not eating properly before hand. We had to sit and take a rest break for about a few times for him to refuel and rest. Otherwise the hike was a lot of fun. I was impressed with myself for how far I've come fitness wise. Three years ago I never thought I would be capable of a 9 mile, hilly hike.

I think I now have the confidence to sign up for that half marathon this fall. Yesterday helped show me that I have it in me to exercise for the length of time it will take me to run a half. Group training starts in a just about 4 weeks!
