I feel like I am going nowhere. I have done so good for this past 3 months and all of a sudden I'm not going anywhere I am at 229 and never budging. it could be that I have been eating cookies (but I have been eating within my calories). I also have been stressed about getting covid, being around someone who had it, I am fully vaccinated though, but my kids are not. I know it's a struggle someday but hopefully I will get through it. I have to stay positive .

How is your sleep? I have noticed when I’m doing eating right but going no where getting in bed on time helps.

Had the same problem. Did a couple of days of 18-1900+ calories. Then back to the lower level - 100 for a few days. Now I'm back to the 1500. Body may think that it is starving and be in conservation mode.. I just need to reset it sometimes. Be sure you don't do increased calories for more than 2 or 3 days at most. Also ditch the cookies and eat more calories of real food. The sugar may be messing with your metabolism. Just a few suggestions based on what works for me. Everyone is different. Most Important is Don't quit! You're worth whatever it takes to be your Best You!

Stress eating and consuming high carbs after dinner definitely will increase your insulin and you can’t work that out because it will be a later time and after doing a lot with the kids and housework, you will be so tired to do HIIT or any type of exercise so late night might cause an unnecessary injury. I know I have been there.

Good Advice Slyone 22 - The digestive system will eat the input calories high in fat and sugars before it will use any of the stored fat - like why go all the way to the Big Box grocery store when the Quickie Market corner store - delivers. The body will eat up its store of fats before it ever touches the lean muscles ... and why bother eating any of the stored fats - it is too much work when the stomach is filled with sugars and fats. Jump start it - drink lots of water - feed it vegies and protein and fibre - eat an apple.

That is why the stomach fat is the last fat to come off ... it is a real process for the body to access and use that area of stored fats - that is the first fat - the oldest fat - the longest stored fat energy - the body's last resort of stored fats - is the stomach area. It is a long walk to get to that point but the body will not use an stored fats at all if there is a steady constant flow of fats and sugars and carbs--- You have to consume less than whatever the body uses for the day before - the body begins to use up the stored fats. Plain air popped popcorn is good - it tastes like popcorn and an apple.

Everybody hits a plateau now and then. Sometimes it is a sign that your body is adjusting to a new smaller size. Since you have lost almost 30 pounds, maybe you need to recalculate your RDI. Sometimes you just need to shake things up a bit like changing the time you exercise or redistribute your calories to having most of them in the morning and afternoon and eating less for dinner and avoiding late night snacks. My brain likes to believe that any food can fit if it is within your calorie limit, but my body does not do well with much of anything in the way of refined carbs, so like others have said, maybe ditch the cookies in favor of something that is more physically nourishing. That said, I TOTALLY get that cookies are emotionally nourishing and sometimes it is just too much to try and cope with the stress any way other than eating. Maybe instead of focusing on your diet and activity, what needs a reset is how you are dealing with stress. You just have to play around with things till you find what works for YOU. The most important thing is NEVER, NEVER, NEVER give up on yourself-! You are so worth the time and energy that it takes to care for yourself. Wishing you the best with whatever reset works for you. Thank you all for your incouragment I have done much better today and I'm ditching the cookies. I have felt better today with stress and made a day of restarting over thanks again
