Used my new InstantPot to make wonderful beans with that yummy bean 'juice' that a pressure cooker produces. Spread them over a thin slice of hubby's bread machine whole wheat bread. Served up with tossed greens salad with Walden Farms no-calorie dressing. I even had room in my calorie budget for a homemade blueberry muffin! Now THIS is better eating at our house 😉
It's also been effective for me to stop eating at 6 pm. I'm sleeping better and the scale seems to appreciate it 😁
We've had a death in the family 2 days ago (my husband's sister) and I was afraid I would turn to food for comfort...but somehow I was able to continue to make mindful food choices/portions. Maybe this new eating lifestyle change IS sustainable...

I was only joking. I read alot of bad reviews on it. It's got a bad wrap for all the artificial stuff in it. It's basically water and and a long list chemicals. I'm sure you've put worse into you body over the coarse of your life tho.

I'm sorry to hear about your SIL, but great job on healthy eating! I'd love to get an Instant Pot but I already have too many kitchen appliances and not enough room. I'd need to add a new cupboard to my kitchen which is also tempting!

My original post, upon rereading it, does sound as if I might not be processing my grief. Sounds so breezy and 'up'....
Truth is...I am not feeling either breezy or up....but I am very familiar with grief. I've experienced much of it in my lifetime.
It helps immensely to know that Carol loved the Lord and openly declared her faith. It helps that we had at least some warning. It helps that we were on good terms...loved & appreciated each other.
