I'm chalking up my version of Sober October as a success.

Slower loss on the last two weeks, a rate change I expected.

Last 2 weeks average consumption: 100 g Fat / 218 g c / 179 g protein for 2493 calories per day.

The last week skewed that average upward, with a couple of high days making the week average at over 2700 calories, but the first week was well in line with my goal of 2210 calories per day.

My goal caloric intake and macro breakdown will stay the same for the next two weeks: 2210 calories. 90 grams fat/ 180 grams carb / 170 grams protein. I'm looking forward to enjoying some meat and dairy as part of my two-week plan before the year's last round Orthodox Greek fasting kicks in on November 15th, 40 days before the Christmas holidays.

I do the Greek Orthodox fast for health, not religious, reasons. I'm going to allow myself exception days of Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, to have those special, traditional meat and cheese dishes for family functions. In the past, I've found the Greek Orthodox fasting calendar a rigorous yet extremely effective tool at avoiding holiday weight gain.

I've already planned and printed out out my meal plan for the next 7 days. I'll check back in on Nov. 15 or 16 with my progress with a post about the Greek Fast. Having this site definitely serves as an accountability tool. Over the past few weeks, I've also found myself again browsing Loseit on Reddit after a hiatus.

Onwards and -- downwards -- low scale seer -- excelsior!
