Like the LC way of eating too! Weight melts off for awhile! Especially if your previous diet was very high in simple carbs. Calorie counting don’t lie! Good Shedding!

I've been on Keto for the last 4 days, also watching calorie intake as well, this app is freaking out cause of the fat intake that comes with Keto lol

I think I do low carb, but not really keto. The fats kind of concern me being an older person with years drummed into my head about cholesterol. Read a lot of information from Dr. Campbell who did the China study. He says we need plant based protein with low fat. I just try to use common sense and follow what would be Mediterranean, I guess. I have been calorie counting and working on 400 calorie meals. I am losing, so something is working for me. Thanks for sharing and good luck.

@badbruce I had leg cramps from low carbs before and drank more water and I think it’s potassium, a lack of. I don’t know exactly what Keto is all about but I want to keep my fats down carbs low calories within the RDA for my height weight and age - old too! I wont go all crazy on it because I have had eating disorders before and have a tendency to do stupid things

I'm doing low carb Adkins style. I'm also trying to watch calorie intake. It's working for me, and I haven't started missing bread yet...lol Good luck!

Remember to supplement with electrolytes and eat your carbs in leafy greens. The fiber will keep you regular.

For me leg cramps are always magnesium. I do about 600 mg of it every evening. Apparently also help with sleep.

I've been doing Keto for close to a year now. It's been a good fit for me but everyone is a little different.
As with most things, you'll want to drink plenty of water. Also, a drink with a little MCT oil is a good way to give yourself an energy boost. I drink 1 TBSP MCT plus 2 TBSP butter in my 11AM coffee. My workout is around 3PM and I feel really energetic.

@moopie321 I haven’t measured myself yet, but when I return home I will. I am in the mountains for a couple days. I know my Keto book is coming in the mail today and tomorrow I will start reading it to find out about it! Exciting and you are an inspiration!
