Have re-read and am ready to start again. My first time on Atkins was at age 13, it was so easy. My grandmother fixed my meals, bought me special snacks that I could have on Atkins, and hid them away so I always had something to snack on, sunflower seeds, diet sodas in all flavors for some variety, pork rinds (of course) and she made it really easy. Lost the weight and kept it off into my 20's and lived the Atkins lifestyle for 95% of the time. The beginning of my downfall? I began baking bread. Hot out of the oven, slathered in butter. Twenty pounds in about 6 months. I dieted off and on over the next 20 years but only stuck to the Atkins way of eating 50-60 % of the time gained weight and got up to 209 in 1998, 238 by 2004, 211 in 2005, and now between 228-238 in 2012, tired of it. Ready to go back to the way of eating that has always worked for me. I am motivated and after 2 foot surgeriies back to back about 6 weeks ago I am even more ready to do so.
