Hi guys I started FS and put in my height,weight etc and my RDI came in at 3300 Calories a day that can’t be right can it I thought women should have around 2000 a day or have I done anything wrong .i am short fat and suffering with arthritis and 60 yrs old and can’t exercise much🤔🤔any suggestions welcome

Hi Janet. I'm 59, 5' 6 tall and heavier than you ... fs calculates my rdi at 2000 but I have overwritten it to 1500 (although I usually struggle to eat as much as 1200!) I think you need to be on the pc version to overwrite it though. I too suffer from joint problems (most probably arthritis) and also a bad back and a badly swollen left leg (left over from a thrombosis a few years ago where the clot damaged a valve in my vein!) so i am not very mobile these days either.

Everyone’s different so it’s not a set amount for men and women it depends on your height, age, and your activity levels. Just check it again make sure you have to set to lose weight and not gain weight I have to eat 3000 a day to maintain my weight.

Sorry to hear your in pain too I’m having scan on my legs August 23rd as my legs swell and just getting over severe enemia which I didn’t know I had but feeling a lot better since blood and iron transfusions hopefully now I can sort out my weight fingers crossed
