Wow! I don’t believe it! I had a couple bowls of pasta yesterday and a candy bar! My heart rate actually skyrocketed from all the carbs. I guess sometimes it’s good to trust your instincts. It wasn’t a “cheat day”. I had had my long run (12m) and just felt like crap. When I got to the point where I wasn’t even wanting to get up to go to the bathroom (right? I can run miles but can’t get out of bed) enough was enough..and I ate all the food! 😂
I made quite a bit more than I needed, but today is not the day for leftovers. It pains me to think about throwing it away (it was so good!!) but just because I lucked out today, doesn’t mean I will again. Whew. I was expecting a whole week to lose whatever water weight was gained (typically I’d gain about 5-8 pounds...assuming of water of course, from one meal like that) what a relief.
