Charlotte and I have been walking at lunch time in one of the local parks, usually about a mile at a brisk pace. I've been able to stay within my RDI of between 1500-1600 calories per day, usually drink about a half gallon of water and I'm feeling it. I feel more energetic, have more mental clarity and generally just feel better overall. I guess lowering my blood glucose levels and losing some weight is making a much bigger change in my general health and attitude than I ever thought possible. I am feeling more motivated each day, and the scale shows a 1.8 pound drop since last Thursday. Whoohoo!!!

Even though I posted my Thursday weekly weigh-in yesterday, I had to record this morning's weight for the record...down to 169.8!! First time in at least 25 years that I've been this low. Wow, that sure helps the incentive! :) happy dance!

Happy Friday! Woke up to another beautiful spring morning in the Pacific NW and I am so thankful that it's Friday. Today, I'm back down to 171...here's hoping we can keep on that downward trend. :)

Here we go again...I feel like I'm on a teeter-totter with my weight. I keep fluctuating between 171 and 172.4. I have been overly hungry this week and I could have done much better. I need to step up my game plan so I can get off this crazy cycle. I am going to re-commit to drinking my full 1/2 gallon of water every day, keep under in my RDI and with the weather warming up, increase my walking even if I have to do it after I get home in the evening. Exercise and more movement, I hope will make the difference.
