My goal is to lower my intake of sugars from all items that are not whole foods, and to cut out carbs from all items that are not fruit and vegetables. I am pre-diabetic (A1C is 6.2), and my BMI is 32 so I am also considered obese. At 5 foot 6, I weigh in at 200 lbs. My goal is to be 145 lbs, with a much healthier BMI and to reverse my pre-diabetes.

I have spent the last two weeks watching what I eat, and changing my eating habits. This is my first post here, I am still learning to eat smaller portions and to find time to exercise more. I have been paying attention to how many hours per day I sit, and I am trying to change that. My boss is going to order me a stand up desk for work. At home, I spend more time cleaning and organizing than sitting in front of the TV.

I am walking more as well.

This is me. In a nutshell. Trying to do my best to lose weight, slowly and carefully.

Thoughts? Feedback much appreciated.

Photo of what I ate for breakfast on Saturday(handful of these nuts) and scrambled eggs, with ham, a side of bacon and avocado.

Not following any strict diet, but lowering carbs (no breads) and lowering sugars.

Increasing fats & proteins, lowering sugars and carbs. This is to lower my A1C levels and reverse pre-diabetes. Not exactly full keto, but similar to a keto diet, or a Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) diet.


Been doing this for two weeks, and I am sleeping better and feeling better.
