I can seem to lose any weight lately, but I'm eating healthy and I hike 11 and a half hours today, covered 30 km, and went up 4000 ft and back down 4000 ft.
My feet hurt and just about every muscle I have is going to tell me off... but not many folks can say that they did anything that crazy today and it was a beautiful day and ended in guilt free pizza, a hot bath and a lot of stretching.

I'm not sure why I'm back up, but I know my exercise the past few days has suffered from family visits, although I'd think playing with toddlers should count. I guess we are back to trying hard to work things out and getting more water in. It turns out that my abs video is likely in another province, so I"m going to have to come up with something on my own.
In the short term, I'm off to do some yoga at least and hopefully the weather will allow a little hike in later today.

Yeah! I cracked the 150 lb mark finally, and while I'm hoping that I'm still up more than I actually am, I feel relieved that I'm not gaining weight. I do think I need to ratchet up my cardio, I'm doing a lot of walking and a little swimming, but not targeted strength training or long cardio work outs. I really miss drop in Aerobics here.
As I write that I have to admit on skipping my morning swim (I slept in after staying up late to watch Invictus - amazing movie, but there wouldn't have been time to make it to the pool, so I'm on my own. Hopefully, my boyfriend goes out and I get a bit of a chance to do something more intense than walking. Its not particularly nice out either.
Ah well, today, I think I'm going to focus on getting water into me. I've let that slip and see if I can cut back on the carbs a bit (well, I happen to know that supper is home-made pizza - so I definitely need to get an aerobic work out in)I think I'll really also try and do my abs video. Its hard when I don't really have space to myself to find a place and a time to do stuff. I don't want to make noise now, since there are still folks sleeping here.

Disappointed with my weigh in after 2 weeks, I'd hoped to lose more than 0.4 lbs. Especially since I've really been good. I've exercised everyday and I've really been very reasonable about what I've eaten. I'm trying to cheer myself up a bit by pointing out that some of that is fat that has turned into muscle (hopefully) and that also this is the worst time of the month for weigh ins, and in a couple of days that number could drop.
Ah well, I've stretched and I'm off to try and swim although I'm a bit stiff after our hike yesterday. Here is hoping I get some lengths in.
Going to pop over to the store this afternoon and buy more fruits and veggies and hopefully get a bunch done on my thesis.
So I got 40 minutes of brisk walking, 13 minutes of swimming and 30 minutes of stretching in this morning... hoping to add to that later in the day.
