Sunday was great. Had a good time with friends and family. While i managed to stay within my calorie limit i broke my no carb rule in style.
The bad part is that i had rice cooked with meat and tons of clarified butter, the good part is that i only had 3 tablespoons of it. I ate frozen yoghurt but also ended up eating bites of ice cream as well. I overate Steamboat and dint have much portion control but its just boiled vegetables and meat with the fat and skin removed, so im thinking no real harm there.
I am proud of my potion control and the willpower with regards to the unhealthy food. The old me would have ordered a double scoop of ice cream instead of just sampling from friends and would also have had a big bowl of yummy briyani rice.
I am making lifestyle changes and i am proud of myself for it, yeah i did violate the no-carb rule but im not going to beat myself up over it. Rome was not built in a day. Enough babysteps and soon i'll be walking and running all over the place !
Its one of those days of the damn month again....makes it much more harder to drag myself to the gym, but this time i am not going to give myself any excuses. I am determined. Challenge Accepted.

Day 5
Ive been very good, really proud of myself.
BUT im starting to see visions of chocolate sugar fairies doing a synchronized dance formation that spells eat me.
Im literally dreaming of Food ...not the healthy kind but the comfort kind with lots of butter, cheese, bacon and fat.
I want a big triple cheeseburger with bacon
A large ass greasy extra cheesy pizza
ohhh and pasta....and chips ...and deep fried chicken with creamy buttery mash...and bread with butter...grilled cheese bacon sandwiches. Indian style rice and curry. Chinese noodles.....chocolate mousse..cheesecake...
somehow listing all that made me want it much less... actually writing it down makes me think of all the fat and calories in it which is repulsive especially after the long workouts i do.
Okay to ensure that i don't feel deprived for the long cruise phase of the Dukan Diet coming up on Sunday i am planning my meals out with little treats structured in for the next week.
As a reward for completing a strict attack phase 100%. This sunday i am going out to eat some
Steamboat
with some good friends. Its just vegetables and meat boiled in clear soup, the only unhealthy part will be the sweet thai chilli sauce BUT i will make sure i am under 1400 calories for the day and will not touch any carbs.

Its Day 4 of the attack phase. So far so good. Keeping to it 97%.
Feeling great, muscles pleasantly sore from working out everyday but not in pain or extremely fatigued.
If i keep this up until Sunday i get a massage ! YAY
Maybe i should break the diet down into phases the idea of having to lose 40kgs is daunting and scary.
Phase 1: 104-98kgs Reward: Jeans, Underwear
Phase 2: 98-95 kgs Reward: Sportshoes
Phase 3: 95-90 kgs Reward: Hairmakeover
Phase 4: 90-85 kgs Reward: New Wardrobe
Phase 5: 85-80 kgs Reward: "Special Trip"
Phase 6: 80-75 kgs Reward: IPad 2

After all previous failures... DAY 1 FINALLY COMPLETED.
More yoga, pilates and gym time lined up for the week.
Need to re-evaluate foods after i complete my attack phase next saturday. Planning menus, groceries, cooking etc...
I did yoga yesterday, admittedly my sun salutation was more of a sun insult and my downward facing dog was more an upward facing lizard but yoga is awesome....babysteps.

Okay....so Day 1 take 2 ...
Last 2 days didn't go so well...
lets just say there was a lot of pasta, pizza, candy bars, ice cream and self-loathing involved.
Moving on...today is Day 1 take 2, So far so good....10 hours more and day one would be complete !
Water intake is decent...food intake careful....
to prevent afternoon munchies ...or the hunger monster from getting to me around 6pm i scheduled a nice yoga class and some quality gym time. Those endorphins should come in real handy right about then.
Need to steer clear of temptation....7 day attack phase...
NEED TO AVOID PEOPLE....people keep trying to feed me !!!
planning on telling em i have some kind of communicable disease thats horribly contagious for the next 7 days...
fingers crossed....wish me luck
Off to Gym ttfn
