I spent the last several days at the beach at our church's Women's retreat. The weather was sunny and absolutely perfect, the speaker was inspiring and so real, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the women were like family. I really enjoyed myself. Plus...I ate what I wanted, enjoyed the chocolates that were everywhere, went on several walks on the beach, including climbing those 144 steps down to the sand over and over and over. Exercise was fun! This morning I am back down to 171. Life is beautiful my friends. :)

Well, if I were an alcoholic, it would be said that I fell off the wagon. Seriously, I don't know what came over me! It all started with Friday evening after work - I was tired and didn't feel like cooking, so the hubs and I went to the local joint and ordered a pizza. My half of a 16" pizza consisted of 4 large pieces of canadian bacon and pineapple. I ate 2 pieces. Then Saturday morning for breakfast, I ate 1 more piece. Then for Saturday lunch, I ate my last piece. Not good, but I still don't think I went over my daily RDI - possibly, but I don't think so. For dinner Saturday evening we grilled a couple of boneless, skinless chicken breasts and I made potato salad. I ate a smallish piece of breast meat dipped in BBQ sauce and had about 1-1/5 cups of potato salad. It was made with eggs, onions, bread & butter pickles, dill, low-fat mayo and low-fat sour cream. I probably shouldn't have eaten more than 1 cup, but I ate 1-1/2 cups. *sigh* Not terrible, but not great. Then I had desert. Sugar free cheesecake flavored pudding with 1/4 banana sliced and 1.5 sheets graham crackers. Seriously delicious! The entire thing made 4 servings, which 2 of those servings I ate. One Saturday eve and the other one Sunday eve. I did not go over my RDI, but I was beginning down a slippery slope...
Sunday, we went to Costco after a quick breakfast of unsweeted almond milk on honey bunches of oats cereal. By the time we got home around 2:00 pm, we were both starving, so I made enchiladas. I make delicious enchiladas, and these were prepared with 90% extra lean ground beef, 1/2 chopped red onion, 2/3 can of low-sodium refried beans, green chilis, taco seasoning, and salsa. Over the top was red, mild enchilada sauce, grated Tillamook sharp cheddar cheese, avocado and low-fat sour cream. SO good! I ate a 2 cup serving. That dinner was probably 2/3 off the total calories I eat in a whole day. Oh, and remember that desert I'd made the day before? Yeah, we ate the last 2 servings. By the time we'd finished eating, it was around 5:00pm. Time to head out and take care of the horse chores, gather the eggs and fill the wood box for the evening fire. I felt so good, that I decided to make some popcorn, and of course I put butter on it. I ate about 4 cups. I was like a bottomless pit! This is the first time since I began tracking my calories that I have gone over SO horribly! But, no time for guilt or shame. Today is Monday and I'm back on track. Back to drinking my 1/2 gallon of water and eating much more sensibly. I weighed myself and this morning I had gained 2 pounds! Dear Lord, I hope I didn't undo what it took me several weeks to lose! *sigh* Oh well...Thursday is my official weekly weigh-in where I report it here. I've got 3 more days to get back to my pre-feeding frenzy weight. Just keepin' it real people. Onward we go...

Well journal, it's a beautiful Tuesday and my weight is at 171 this morning! Hot dog!! I will post my official weight for the record on Thursday like usual, but I was so happy that I just had to share. :) Charlotte and I are going to the big park for our mile loop at lunchtime. Too nice to stay inside. Spring has sprung!
