Mid-50s. Blue hair. Planning on getting my first tattoo. Sometimes I swear like a sailor. Almost always smiling. Love to make others smile too! I have a weird sense of humour at times...it tends to be my coping mechanism. My Hubby and two kids are my biggest support. I love these guys!

I have had weight loss issues most of my life and it has always been a struggle. Since my mid-20s I've had multiple health issues that keep piling up to make it even more difficult. Gallbladder, kidney stones, ovarian cysts, high blood pressure, diabetes, menopause at age 44, thyroid and lastly - a brain tumour I've named Edna that sits on my pituitary gland. All of which my endocrinologist has deemed related to a hormonal imbalance.

As I'm moving closer to the high end of my 50s, my system is getting more out of whack and my BP and glucose levels are becoming more wonky. It's time to buckle down and really get serious about getting my numbers regulated. It helps that I have a fantastic team of Drs and health care professionals to support me.
