Happy Friday the 13th! I was born on June 13th, so I can't be superstitious about it. Anyway, the reason Friday the 13th is supposed to be bad luck is because that's the day King Phillip IV of France rounded up the Knights Templar and had them executed. That one incident set it off. Prior to that, Friday the 13th was just like any other day. (Actually, many ancient cultures think 13 is a LUCKY number.) It's still bitter here. I've decided not to go to the event in St. Louis. I'm still feeling sub-par and I can't imagine the 3 hour trip. I'm planning to stay holed up with my critters and snuggle. Getting old sucks. The alternative sucks worse! LOL! Wow, it's all the way up to 16°F from 6°F. I'll be back after I have my coffee.

Good morning and Happy Friday the 13th! LOL! I always tried to imagine it as a lucky day. Maybe I am more pagan than I care to admit. Hee! Hee! Please don't make a 3 hour trip when have snow and freezing temperatures to deal with. Heat up some of your soup or make some chicken soup. It really pulled me out of a "sub-par" state. Homemade is always best. Hubby is up now so I will be back on later in the day. Bundle up and stay warm. HUGS!!

AHHHHH the simple pleasure.....snuggling with your furbabies, keeping warm and homemade soup....now that always appeals to me way more than a 3 hour drive, no matter where the destination (unless it was to collect a huge lottery win...lol)

Snuggling with your babies will be great. Yeah getting old sucks but as you say the alternative is worse, and it won't suck when you feel better, when you lose (even) more weight and the warmer weather comes. Enjoy those babies, unconditional love - can't be bad.

I am with you girl and love the 13th I found out I was clear of cancer on the 13th I have passed more than one exam on the 13th so I am very happy on the 13th very lucky for me that is for sure. Snuggling with pets just sounds so delicious and cozy. Enjoy your evening. {{{HUGS}}}
