Post surgery AVR with diastolic CHF issues. Low sodium restricted to2000 mg fluid restriction to 2000ml.
One teaspoon of salt is 2300mg and 5 12oz glasses is about 2000ml.
Healthy clean vegetables, fish, chicken, occasional lean red meat. Plant based, soys vs milk products. It has been a month of up and down. Surgery added 21 lbs and it was gone by 11 days upon discharge. One week home showed I could not be lax with the program, back into the hospital for five days of diuresis, and went from 256 to 234.
I think I have bottomed out....and must learn a new norm....
